Times Are Changing (message to farmers)

EFFECTIVE JANUARY 4, 2021, LIVESTOCK DROP OFF TIMES ARE CHANGING! In an effort to better serve our farmers and customers, we will be starting a second shift production team in January. This means a change in our USDA inspection, slaughter, and processing hours for first shift, which equates to earlier start times. Effective Monday, January 4, livestock drop off times will be:

Day of your appointment: 6:00 – 6:30 AM

Day before your appointment: 3:30 – 4:00 PM

We recognize that a 30 minute window may cause a bit of a delay in the unloading process, but this is necessary in order to limit overtime for the slaughter team. You can help alleviate a traffic jam of sorts by completing both sides of the livestock drop off sheet before arriving. This sheet is sent via email the week before your appointment or can be found under the Services and Cut Sheets tab at thisoldfarm.com. If you arrive without a drop off sheet, we have them available at the front desk and ask that you complete the form while you wait your turn to unload. This will expedite the drop off process and save everyone time.

Please keep an eye on your email for further announcements should anything change as we continue to grow and expand. This is a transition period for all of us and your patience will be appreciated!
